How NetCoach would work in the nets.

The idea: set the camera on its mini tripod at the end of the net, clip your phone beside it, then bowl or bat as normal. These are concept illustrations, not screens from a working product. No-ball detection needs good light and a clear view of the crease, and we haven't tested it yet.

  1. Three slow-motion frames of a bowler's front foot landing at the crease, the last one marked as a front-foot no-ball
    1

    Slow-motion replay

Every ball recorded, so you can step through your action frame by frame, right down to where your front foot lands.

  2. Illustration of the NetCoach camera watching the crease and flagging a foot over the line as a no-ball
    2

    No-ball alert

The camera would watch the popping crease and flag an overstep straight away, so you fix your run-up in training, not in a match.

  3. Phone screen showing NetCoach tips: bowler, keep your head up; batter, check your backlift angle
    3

    Coach in your pocket

After the session, the app would give simple tips for batters and bowlers, like "keep your head up" or "check your backlift".

Concept renders. Final design and app screens may change.

Every gadget, one free app.

All CricketTech gadgets will connect to the same free app. The Android app is in closed testing on Google Play now, not public yet. An iPhone version is planned, with no date yet.

  • Scoring: ball-by-ball match scoring and scorecards (in the test app now)
  • Phone ball tracking beta: analyse a slow-motion video of a delivery for an LBW estimate (in the test app now)
  • Player profiles: your stats across matches and gadgets
  • Club accounts planned: share devices and scorecards across teams
  • Backup: Android's own Google backup keeps your matches and stats. Our own cloud backup is planned.
  • Share to WhatsApp: send replays and scorecards in one tap
  • Free: no subscription for the basics

The free Android app is coming soon to Google Play. iPhone later.
